Job Details
Position: AV Installation Technician
Description: A full-time, enthusiastic, results-driven, and forward-thinking Lead AV Technician is needed. In this role, you will be responsible for working with a team of AV technicians with various skill sets. The goal is to install professional and quality AV systems throughout the New Mexico City area. This team dynamic will work with clients in a successful manner, completing projects on time and within budget requirements. The Lead AV Technician will work with clients in a professional manner, representing core values and beliefs. As a Lead AV Technician, you are part of a dynamic team that allows you to grow.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong communication skills and understanding of the scope of work and contract specifications.
  • Ability to share knowledge with other technicians of various skill sets.
  • Experience working with other trades and communicating system requirements to function in accordance with contract documents.
  • Certifications from manufacturers such as Extron, Crestron, Epson, Biamp, AMX, AXIA, etc.
  • Ability to drop codes for AMX, Extron, Crestron, and DSP.
  • Ability to interpret designs, wiring schematics, contract documents, and manufacturer data sheets.

Responsibilities:

  • Well-versed in AV signal flow, signal types, and architectural drawings for layout.
  • Highly experienced in physical rack wiring of components to ensure cable infrastructure is installed completely and professionally.
  • Skilled in installing projectors, lifts, media walls, speaker arrays, microphones, video conferencing, touch panels, and conference room tables for AV setup and rigging.
  • Ability to solder and complete wiring terminations at the track and field devices.
  • Proficient in using scissor lifts, power hand tools, ladders, and material handling safely. Physical labor may require the ability to lift and stand for periods of time.
  • Communicate issues with the team, handle complex problems to resolution, show leadership abilities, meet completion dates, and work professionally with clients.
  • Knowledgeable in all phases of integration, including uploading system codes, networking systems, integrating other systems, and programming controls.
  • Strong background in troubleshooting AV systems.
  • Capable of commissioning and testing systems with clients.
  • Ability to teach and mentor fellow team members.
