Boeing Global Services’ Global Data Management team is searching for professionals with a passion for aviation to join our team as an entry level Aviation Data Specialist; this position can be fully virtual. Our team captures aeronautical data from across the globe to create exciting digital products that enable pilots and passengers to safely and efficiently travel the world. The successful candidate will be a self-starter and demonstrate the ability to apply specified guidance to execute delegated tasks regarding aeronautical data capture requirements. Performs basic database entry and solves routine problems. Follows detailed instructions, processes, and procedures to complete assignments. Heavily relies on a mentor to execute work instructions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working in a remote environment
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite
Aviation experience in any one of the following area’s:
- Flight/Airport Operations
- Flight Dispatch
- Air Navigation
- FAA Navigation systems and publication.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- College degree
- Experience with CAD software
- Experience with GIS/Arcmap
- Experience working in a remote environment
- Strong communication skills and personal accountability
TYPICAL EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
Most successful candidates will have a college degree, a private pilot’s license and some training on instrument approach procedures, or a background in military aviation.
Responsibilities:
- Acquires, analyzes, compiles, evaluates and reviews published aeronautical data.
- Exploits, extracts, formats, manipulates, and updates Boeing aeronautical information products using established processes and tools.
- Ensures the quality, accuracy and currency of aeronautical information.
- Assists in identifying efficiencies and improvements in the product workflow.
