The Aviation, Land and Maritime Transport (ALMT) Program is responsible for delivering the Aviation Meteorological Services (AMS) portfolio, which provides the aviation industry with specialised meteorological services contributing to efficient and effective aviation operations within the Australian Flight Information Regions and the Asia-Pacific Region.
The Bureau’s Aviation service provides users with meteorological information necessary for safe and efficient civil aviation operations. The service includes the provision of observations, forecasts, warnings and advisories, and is provided within the technical and regulatory framework of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO).
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Aviation Operations Delivery Lead with demonstrated experience in meteorological operations, preferably in aviation operations, to assist the operations delivery team to maintain a high level of service delivery and identify and implement service improvement initiatives.
This position would suit an applicant with outstanding communication skills, who has a high degree of initiative and ability to self-manage. Experience establishing strong working relationships with operational meteorologists, employing a consultative and influencing approach is essential.
Reporting to the Service Delivery Optimisation Manager, the successful applicant will work alongside the Aviation teams to deliver outstanding value to the Australian and international Aviation industry.
