The Aviation, Land and Maritime Transport (ALMT) Program is responsible for delivering the Aviation Meteorological Services (AMS) portfolio, which provides the aviation industry with specialised meteorological services contributing to efficient and effective aviation operations within the Australian Flight Information Regions and the Asia-Pacific Region.
The Bureau’s Aviation service provides aviation users with meteorological information necessary for safe and efficient civil aviation operations. The service includes the provision of observations, forecasts, warnings and advisories, and is provided within the technical and regulatory framework of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO).
In the Aviation Operations Delivery Support role, you will contribute as a member of a team that ensures specialist aviation forecasters have the procedures and tools they require to provide the highest quality information to pilots, every day. In this role, you will play a part in identifying and implementing service improvement initiatives and measure their effectiveness.
The position requires a high level of communication and coordination skills, as the occupant will be required to collate information from internal and external stakeholders into a suite of templates, reports and other documentation as appropriate.
The position also requires an appreciation of the practical application of strategic and change management skills within a service delivery environment. The occupant will be required to possess a high standard of written and verbal communication skills.
Reporting to the Aviation Operations Service Improvement Lead, the successful applicant will work alongside the Aviation teams to delivery outstanding value to the Australian and international Aviation industry.
