Airline Aviation Security Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of security operations, ensuring the security of staff, aircraft, and facilities. This position is also responsible for managing the airline’s security operations, including the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and protocols. This role ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements and international security standards, coordinates with law enforcement and regulatory agencies. The manager also leads the response to security incidents and threats, conducting risk assessments, and implementing measures to mitigate security risks.
- Security Program Management:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the airline’s security program, policies, and procedures in compliance with national and international regulations.
- Ensure that security measures are consistently applied and enforced across all airline operations, including at airports, onboard aircraft, and within airline facilities.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable aviation security regulations and standards, including those set by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and other relevant authorities.
- Coordinate with regulatory bodies and participate in audits, inspections, and assessments.
- Incident Management:
- Lead the response to security incidents, including investigations, reporting, and coordination with law enforcement and other relevant agencies.
- Develop and implement incident response plans and protocols, including emergency response and crisis management.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
- Conduct security risk assessments and vulnerability analyses for airline operations.
- Develop and implement strategies and measures to mitigate identified security risks.
- Stakeholder Coordination:
- Liaise with airport authorities, law enforcement, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to coordinate security measures and information sharing.
- Represent the airline at security meetings and forums.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of security measures and programs, identifying areas for improvement.
Stay current with industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices in aviation security.
- 10+ years’ experience in similar environment
- English SpanishIn-depth knowledge of aviation security regulations and standards, including TSA, ICAO, and other relevant authorities.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in managing teams and security operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in risk assessment and incident management.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in aviation security (e.g., Certified Aviation Security Professional) is a plus.
- Must demonstrate a high level of proficiency in MS Office Suite, training and/or teaching experience, proven strong analytical and problem-solving skills, strong decision-making ability.
- The position may require travel to various airports and airline facilities.
- The role may require working outside of normal business hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as necessary.
