Description:

REQUIREMENTS

  • In-depth knowledge of aviation safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess risks and develop effective safety strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate safety requirements and train employees.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication abilities in both French and English languages.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Knowledge of incident investigation techniques and root cause analysis.
  • Familiarity with safety management systems (SMS) and risk management principles.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using safety-related software, tools, and reporting systems.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills to drive a safety culture within the organization.
  • Continuous learning mindset to stay updated on industry advancements and best practices in aviation safety.
  • CASO training is an asset.
  • Eligible for obtaining an identity card for restricted areas (RAIC).

Responsibilities:

  • Promote a culture of safety consciousness, encouraging employees to report safety concerns and near-misses, and promoting a proactive approach to safety.
  • Develop, promote, and maintain Starlink Aviation’s safety policies, procedures, and programs in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and evaluate the effectiveness of existing safety measures.
  • Collaborate with department heads, supervisors, and employees to promote safety awareness and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Assist managers to investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, gathering data, conducting root cause analysis, and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain accurate safety records, including incident reports, safety training documentation, and safety performance metrics.
  • Conduct safety training sessions and workshops for employees, ensuring they are aware of safety protocols, emergency procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging safety technologies, and changes in safety regulations, and recommend necessary updates to safety policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with regulatory agencies, participate in safety-related inspections, and assist in the preparation of safety-related reports and documentation.
  • Monitor safety-related performance indicators and provide regular reports and updates to management on safety metrics, trends, and areas of improvement
