Description:
REQUIREMENTS
- In-depth knowledge of aviation safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess risks and develop effective safety strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate safety requirements and train employees.
- Proficient verbal and written communication abilities in both French and English languages.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Knowledge of incident investigation techniques and root cause analysis.
- Familiarity with safety management systems (SMS) and risk management principles.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using safety-related software, tools, and reporting systems.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong leadership and influencing skills to drive a safety culture within the organization.
- Continuous learning mindset to stay updated on industry advancements and best practices in aviation safety.
- CASO training is an asset.
- Eligible for obtaining an identity card for restricted areas (RAIC).
Responsibilities:
- Promote a culture of safety consciousness, encouraging employees to report safety concerns and near-misses, and promoting a proactive approach to safety.
- Develop, promote, and maintain Starlink Aviation’s safety policies, procedures, and programs in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and evaluate the effectiveness of existing safety measures.
- Collaborate with department heads, supervisors, and employees to promote safety awareness and provide guidance on best practices.
- Assist managers to investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, gathering data, conducting root cause analysis, and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain accurate safety records, including incident reports, safety training documentation, and safety performance metrics.
- Conduct safety training sessions and workshops for employees, ensuring they are aware of safety protocols, emergency procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging safety technologies, and changes in safety regulations, and recommend necessary updates to safety policies and procedures.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies, participate in safety-related inspections, and assist in the preparation of safety-related reports and documentation.
- Monitor safety-related performance indicators and provide regular reports and updates to management on safety metrics, trends, and areas of improvement
