AIRPORT SECURITY SUPERVISOR

A.S.P. is looking for Airport Security Supervisors who will take pride in becoming ambassadors at the airport and have an eye for detail, leadership ability, and problem-solving skills. A successful candidate will be required to work with integrity, respect, and take responsibility for the security and safety of Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing efficient supervision and supporting assigned locations.
  • Preparing reports for all incidents, complaints, or deficiencies discovered that affect the delivery of service to our clients.
  • Inspecting all posts regularly and coordinating break relief functions for all assigned locations.
  • Ensuring all guards are dressed in appropriate uniform and equipped to perform their designated functions safely and efficiently.
  • Compiling Daily Summary Reports from guards and submitting to the Manager for review.
  • Inspecting all posts regularly and testing site staff on their knowledge of the Post Orders and General Orders.
  • Maintaining effective control for all issued equipment
  • Communicating instructions from Head Office to all security staff.
  • Training new security and traffic control staff on-site and sharing their performance with the Operations Manager.
  • Making recommendations for improvement that will increase the effectiveness or benefit the service delivery to our clients.
  • Performing emergency response duties as per the Emergency Response Manual.
  • Direct the day-to-day operations
  • Act of the point of contact for security personnel during emergency operations.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and coach employees performing their regular duties.
  • Ensure that Security Occurrence Reports are written by security guards for incidents that happen at the Airport, review these reports for completeness and accuracy and provide these reports to the AOCC within 24 hours for inclusion in PortsToronto’s Records Management System.
  • Carry and operate portable radios to communicate with the Airport Operations Communication Center Guards; and
  • Any other duties as assigned.
