OVERVIEW

Must have 10 years practical experience with DO-254 justification.
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Avionic Electrical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of avionics systems and components for various aerospace applications. Your expertise will contribute to ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of our aircraft systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in avionics engineering principles and a passion for innovation in the aerospace industry.

SKILLS

  • Minimum 10 years of analog and digital experience in circuit design and analysis;
  • Minimum 10 years of experience documenting DO-254 justification;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent combination of training and experience;
  • Technical and hardware qualifications (DO-254) experience is required;
  • Proven experience working with standards, processes and work procedures in a structured design environment;
  • Vast experience documenting DO-254 correspondence;
  • Familiarity with RTCA, Inc. certification standards (DO-160);

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyzing and specifying hardware development environment (HDE), verification environment, debugging and profiling tools
  • Developing, documenting/supporting the creation of DO-254 processes, development plans and review checklists
  • Analyzing user’s requirements and creating a detailed hardware architecture and formal structured design
  • Familiar with electronics, hardware FPGA design and mechanical engineering design
  • Participating in electronics from detailed designs to meet EMC/EMI requirements and performance
  • Preparing material costs and timing estimates, reports and design descriptions for electronic systems and equipment
  • Performing circuit analysis (MTBF) and traceability from user’s requirements to formal design and implementation
  • Supporting and inspecting the installation, modification, testing and operation of electronic components, systems and equipment
  • Debugging and troubleshooting hardware circuits
  • Integrating components into embedded system environment, including test bench and on aircraft at customer sites
  • Working with product development teams – product/systems and/or Software Engineers and engineering support in a leadership role
  • Creating/reviewing various wiring schematics (Autocad LT)
  • Participating and supporting program risk assessment and mitigation
  • Supervising the work of junior designers and/or other engineering employees
