Description:
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Carrying out Avionic aircraft maintenance activities including detailed troubleshooting and rectification.
- Carrying out flight line duties as directed.
- Raising Technical Publication Review Forms (TPRF) against approved data.
- Assist with raising Technical Requests (TRs) for any aircraft related anomalies.
- Support the work centre Supervisor in ensuring shift handovers are accurate.
- Adhering to tool control procedures.
- Adhering to the use of only approved data.
- Carrying out good husbandry practices.
- Provide 100% supervision to assigned RSAF Trainee Technicians at level ‘A’
- Provide and Supervise consolidation training and mentoring to assigned RSAF personnel leading to the award of 1st signature (Technician).
- Provide Training Guidance and mentoring of nominated RSAF personnel leading to the award of 2nd (Supervisor) signature.
- Providing Supervisory 2nd Signature (over sign) for engineering and maintenance tasks carried out by the RSAF in support of consolidation training on operational aircraft.
- Maintain accurate log books for the assigned RSAF technician.
- Liaise with RSAF and BAE Systems management in order to identify any training opportunities or to highlight any potential training shortfalls.
- Support the production of monthly progress reports to identify training progression
- Obtain the appropriate licence and authorisations to operate, support and task vehicles of various types, and tow aircraft and support equipment. Act as fleet vehicle custodian if directed by maintenance management.
- Assist the training cell by providing additional training and supervision to RSAF and BAE Systems personnel (to include but not limited to) Flight Line servicing, aircraft tow duties etc.
- Providing trade cover for the flight line hit team and end of runway (EOR) troubleshooting and fixing crew in faults.
- Undertake independent inspections of Safety Critical Systems (3rd Signature responsibility) in the absence of the Senior Supervisor.
- Deputise for the work centre trade supervisor during periods of leave or absence.
- Carry out Aircrew post Flight De-briefs as required.
- Train RSAF personnel in the role of Supervisor.
- Undertake any task deemed to be reasonable, within the scope of the avionics aircraft trade, as directed by Senior Supervisors and line management.
- Demonstrating certain behaviours in all the work undertaken and in interactions with other maintenance personnel in line with M&CA People Behaviours BAESKSA-ENG-MCA-GOV-005.
- Support and participate in the reporting of ALL Product Safety & Environmental occurrences, promoting a Just Culture. This provides for a working environment of trust where all employees, all of whom are professionals, each have a clear understanding of what standard of behaviour is considered acceptable or unacceptable.
- Promote and support the Salam Operations Quality Management System by understanding the requirements of AS9110. Promotion of customer focus throughout the organisation whilst recognising and highlighting opportunities for continuous improvement (CI).
Responsibilities:
BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

This role is responsible for carrying out Avionic aircraft maintenance activities and Supervise the Consolidation Training of assigned RSAF Technicians and Saudi National BAE Trainees in support of the RSAF Typhoon Flying programme and generate aircraft to achieve the contracted Operational Ready Rates in accordance with best industry practice, BAE Systems procedures, the Maintenance Organisation Exposition and the RSAF Regulatory Framework. Deputise for the Typhoon Maintenance – Avionics Senior Supervisor during periods of absence.
