I have an opportunity for an experienced Avionics Certification Engineer or Avionics Systems Engineer to join an organisation where you will get to play a pivotal role in the design and certification of advanced avionics systems across an number of platforms and operational uses, as platforms are customized for our clients.
Ideally you will already be an experienced Avionics Design Approval Representative DAR or DER but candidates with significant Avionics Systems engineering experience the role will offer the opportunity to gain this approval status by working on projects to gain Transport Canada / FAA approvals.

What You’ll Do:

  • Further develop your Avionics engineering skills working within an engineering team focused on the certification and integrate state-of-the-art avionics systems such as flight control, navigation systems, ground proximity warning solutions, stability systems and mission-specific systems.
  • Enhance your avionic certification experience while collaborate with Transport Canada to navigate the certification process, ensuring compliance with Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) and industry standards.
  • Prepare and submit certification packages, modifications, and Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs), while gaining further insight into avionics design principles and testing methodologies.
  • Help ensure the reliability and safety of our aircraft by participating in testing and validation of avionics systems including LAB Testing, Simulation Testing, In flight Testing, EMI/EMC Testing and Environmental testing.
  • Approve technical data, Installation drawings, Wiring diagrams, Component specifications, Test reports and Compliance documentation
  • Collaborate with a team of seasoned professionals in the field of avionics design, providing you with mentorship and opportunities to advance your career.

Who You Are:

  • Background in Engineering: You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering with 5 -10 years Avionics Engineering, with some experience in avionics certification (if you have experience as a Design Approval Representative, that’s a huge plus!).
  • Strong knowledge of TCCA / FAA or EASA regulations such as Part 23, Part 25, Part 27, Part 29 and standards such as ARINC, DO-160G and DO-178C.
  • You will nee to have strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality in everything you do.
  • Any experience in Rotary platforms would be highly desirable.
