WHAT WE DO
The PWM Trading Engineering team creates software which enables the Goldman Sachs Wealth Management business and its clients to transact in global markets across a variety of asset classes. We continuously evolve our capabilities to unlock scale, reduce risk, and provide an application environment which is compliant with required trading practices and relevant controls. The mission critical software the team works on has an immediate and direct impact on the ability to service the trading needs of our private wealth client base.

We are looking for someone with lots of energy that enjoys engineering challenges and has a passion to deliver high quality technology solutions, whilst being comfortable operating in a dynamic and fast paced environment. Prior experience with trading systems is a plus but not a requirement.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
- Excellent object oriented or functional analysis and design skills.
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and designing for performance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems and apply analysis to make data driven decisions.
- Comfortable multi-tasking, managing multiple stakeholders and working as part of a global team.
- Can apply an entrepreneurial approach and passion to problem solving and product development.3+ years of software development experience.
EXPERIENCE DELIVERING WITH ONE OR MORE OF
- Programming in a complied language such as Java or C++, or an interpreted language such as Python and experience with concurrency and memory management.
- Responsive web development, with professional React/Angular/Redux experience and advanced JavaScript proficiency.
- NoSQL databases such as MongoDb and Elastic Search.Trading system integration architectures and protocols (e.g. FIX), or other relevant financial services software engineering experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge or interest in trading technologies in the front-office of a trading organization
Responsibilities:
As part of the PWM Trading Engineering team you will be responsible for the specification, development, testing, delivery, and support of features in our multi asset trading platform.
You will work on interesting technical challenges, provide input into design discussions, and contribute to the evolution of all aspects of our open architecture platform. This will include working across numerous software services, build and deployment infrastructure, integrations with different trading venues, observability, and control considerations. There are full stack opportunities to work across both back end and UI layers, and a focus on continuous learning and development spanning both functional business context, and technical skillsets.
You will get to know the trading userbase who we collaborate with closely and frequently. This includes PWM sales teams, product teams and operational experts, and other teams across the organisation. Strong communication and collaboration skills are key, as we work as part of a global team.
