JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced AWS Administrator with 5+ years of hands-on experience in managing cloud infrastructure, particularly within Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of AWS services, cloud architecture, and be adept at managing and optimizing cloud environments. As an AWS Administrator, you will be responsible for deploying, managing, and operating scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems in AWS.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in AWS administration or cloud infrastructure management.
• Proficiency with AWS management console, AWS CLI, and AWS SDKs.
• Strong experience with key AWS services like EC2, VPC, RDS, S3, Lambda, IAM, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, and Route 53.
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
• Solid understanding of AWS security best practices, including IAM, encryption, and access control.
• Experience with setting up CI/CD pipelines using AWS Developer Tools or third-party tools like Jenkins.
• Knowledge of Linux and/or Windows server administration in a cloud environment.
• Experience with AWS billing and cost management tools.
• Familiarity with VPC peering, Direct Connect, and hybrid cloud architectures.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of networking concepts (DNS, VPN, Load Balancing, Security Groups).
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
• Ability to mentor junior team members and assist in training or knowledge sharing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Proactive attitude and a strong desire to learn new cloud technologies and AWS services.

• Manage and monitor AWS resources, including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, and CloudWatch.
• Provision and configure AWS cloud infrastructure and services based on best practices for security, scalability, and performance.
• Implement and manage automated provisioning and configuration management using AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar tools.
• Ensure the security of AWS environments by configuring IAM policies, Security Groups, and Key Management Services (KMS).
• Monitor system performance using AWS CloudWatch and other third-party tools to ensure high availability, optimal performance, and troubleshooting.
• Perform backup and disaster recovery planning, configuration, and testing in AWS environments.
• Manage and optimize cost of AWS resources by analyzing usage patterns and implementing cost-saving measures.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and manage AWS-based applications.
• Implement and maintain automation scripts for routine tasks (e.g., server provisioning, patching, and scaling).
• Maintain documentation for AWS infrastructure, configurations, and processes.
• Provide on-call support for AWS-related incidents and perform root cause analysis for any issues.
• Stay updated on new AWS services, features, and best practices.
