• Working experience with full stack development (Node (20), Java, Spring / Spring Boot, Python (3), Angular (16 +), React
• Hands on experience with AWS - CloudFormation, S3, Lambda, ECS, EKS, Glue ETL, API Gateway, IAM, SQS, SNS, Athena, DMS, DataSync
• Experience using SQL and no-SQL Databases
• Experience with test automation and test-driven development practices and frameworks – mutation testing, functional testing (UI visual regression, UI Path, Cypress, Jasmine, Karma, Cucumber), mock frameworks (Mockito, etc.), contract testing
• Experience with designing & building REST API’s;
• Familiarity with DevOps concepts, tools and continuous delivery pipelines – Bamboo, GiutHub, Jenkins, Maven, Bitbucket, Jira, etc;
• Experience with Site Reliability Engineering principles, resiliency design patterns and relevant tooling/chaos engineering to mature teams DevSecOps mindset and practices.
• Any experience with inner sourcing and reuse principles/culture, patterns and frameworks is highly desired
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate technology language into business terms for a non-technical audience in an Agile environment.
• Self-Starter, with a Growth mindset, comfortable with pushing through ambiguity whilst demonstrating learning agility.
• Capability to question the status quo, challenge yourself and others on the value that will be delivered.
• Required Skills:
• 5-8 years of experience with AWS Cloud Platform and DevOps Enginnering
• Strong experience with developing infrastructure as code build and deployment pipelines
• Hands on Experience with IaaS Terraform
• Previous work experience in Agile and Scrum methodologies practices
• Previous experience designing and developing a multitude application using almost all of the main services of the AWS stack (e.g. EC2, ECS, EKS, s3, RDS, VPC, IAM, ELB, Cloud Watch, Route 53, Lamba and CloudFormation
• Working knowledge of AWS, VPC subnets InternetGateway and Route Table
• Experience with Java Spring Boot, CI/CD pipeline tools would be advantageous

• Understand Vanguard’s tools, technologies, applications, and processes.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Provide support to other team members in building skills and improving engineering practices.
• Out of hours support may be required in this role.
• Responsibilities:
• DevOps specialist supporting the client AWS Cloud environments
• Setup and automation of high availability clusters with AWS Autoscaling, Load Balancers and Route53 SSO in cloud
• Estimating AWS usage costs and identifying operational cost control mechanisms
• Monitoring via Splunk Cloudwatch Cloudtrail
