Description:
Job Title: Azure Cloud Architect
Location: Remote, Prefer Durham NC
Duration: Full Time
Responsibilities
Design and implement a secure, scalable, and highly available landing zone architecture on Microsoft Azure
Configure the core Azure infrastructure components following the Azure landing
zone conceptual architecture
Implement networking topology including hub/spoke network, Azure Virtual WAN, network security groups, Azure Firewall, etc.
Set up identity and access management using Azure Active Directory, role based
access control, and Azure AD Privileged Identity Management
Provision core management services like Azure Policy, Azure Blueprints, Azure Security Center, Azure Monitor, etc.
Automate infrastructure deployment using Infrastructure as Code
Implement DevOps practices like infrastructure CI/CD pipelines
Ensure security, governance, and compliance by applying Azure policies and security baselines
Provide documentation and knowledge transfer to the operations team
Requirements
5+ years of experience as a cloud engineer/architect working with Microsoft Azure
Deep understanding of Azure services, security, and networking
Hands on experience designing and implementing Azure landing zones
Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools
Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD best practices
Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python
Knowledge of security best practices, compliance standards (NIST, CIS, etc.)
Strong communication and documentation abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification
Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architectures
Familiarity with containers and Kubernetes on Azure (AKS)
Knowledge of Azure Sentinel, Azure Purview, or other advanced Azure services
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
