Description:

As a consultant, you will anchor the engagement effort for Implementation, Configuration, administration for SQL based Business Infrastructure for different applications and Databases. Working with client\offshore team based out of India to provide support services.
You should be experienced in the SQL administration, Database Architecture Designs Solutions, Migrations and using high-level functional systems design, HA configurations, documentation, and implementation methodologies on problems which require in-depth knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation and operational needs.

QUALIFICATIONS BASIC

Candidate must be located within Mexico or be willing to relocate to the area.

Associate or bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

  • Should have 8 years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server 2012 to 2016 2019 2022 Database Administration.
  • Microsoft certified in AZURE fundamentals and SQL DBA .
  • Proficiency in configuration, implementation, administration, and troubleshooting.

Skills

  • Installation, Configuration of different version of SQL servers.
  • Upgradation and Migration of SQL server from lower to higher version.
  • SQL Access management process like creation of login and user access.
  • Database refresh activity from prod to no-prod server.
  • Knowledge on Performance troubleshooting (Server, Query, and database level).
  • Database health monitoring using IDERA tool.
  • Database backup and restore using recovery models (Backup tool :Cohesity).
  • Knowledge in T-SQL scripts and stored procedures.
  • Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server.
  • Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Knowledge in database migration from on-premises to cloud (IAAS, PAAS models).
  • Alerts configurations and troubleshooting on Azure MI and SQL VM.
  • Capacity planning and monitoring database growth.
  • Experience working with Windows server, including Active Directory.

Responsibilities

  • Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
  • Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
  • Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations.
  • Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
  • Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
  • Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
  • Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.
  • Problem solving, task prioritization, communication, and organization skills.
  • Able to work in a deadline environment. Can work efficiently in a team and on individual tasks.
  • Experience in working on Major Incidents and Problem Management.
  • Establish Maintain and Mange delivery support team from the daily operations.
  • Ensure the attainment and maintenance of excellent levels of client satisfaction with regards to operational and SQL support.
  • 24x7 on Call Support for Troubleshooting.
  • Support for Disaster Recovery process.
  • Research and implement new technologies to improve the SQL infrastructure.
  • Provide on-call support rotation for critical issues outside of normal business hours.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing by creating and maintaining detailed and comprehensive documentation and diagrams.
  • Adherence to agreed SLA.
  • Understanding of ITIL V3.
  • Working in a Hybrid mode
