Description:

Bilton Welding and Manufacturing Ltd. (Bilton) is hiring a B Pressure Supervisor to provide supervision to our vessel shop on the night shift.
If you are experienced in vessel fabrication, layout, and fit-up, and have proven leadership experience in safety, production, and training, we want you to join our growing team!

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certified B Pressure Welder
  • 5+ years of experience in vessel fabrication, layout, and fit-up.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of previous supervisory experience within a fabrication environment.
  • In-depth understanding of welding safety standards and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills, with strong team leadership and organizational abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective decision-making capabilities.
  • Capacity to maintain composure in challenging situations while delegating tasks efficiently.
  • Strong ability to motivate others.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the b pressure night shift, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and production goals.
  • Supervise and provide training and mentoring to B pressure welders regarding vessel fabrication, layout, and fit-up work, while ensuring adherence to project specifications, codes, and standards.
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure projects meet client specifications and hours allotted to the jobs.
  • Enforce safety policies and procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Communicate with foremen and management about team performance, production goals, and challenges.
  • Complete and submit accurate documentation, including performance management conversations, timesheets and production reports.
  • Assist in planning and organizing project schedules to meet production targets.
  • Assign tasks to employees, ensuring efficient and accurate work performance.
  • Provide support to all team members, ensuring they have the necessary resources to perform to their best abilities while encouraging development.
  • Uphold company policies, procedures, and quality standards, escalating issues to the Foreman.
  • Evaluate production methods and equipment, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Be available for overtime assignments when required, with the flexibility to meet with your leadership team outside of night shift scheduling.
  • Monitor employee breaks and arrival/departure times to maintain productivity.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy shop environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Foreman.
