ABOUT H55
As the technological spin-off of Solar Impulse, the first electric airplane to fly around the world, the mission of H55, is to make aviation clean, safe, and affordable.
The company’s strengths and competencies lie in developing propulsion and energy storage solutions which are modular, lightweight, and certifiable.
Having integrated and flown 4 electric airplanes, the Swiss start-up has been selected by Pratt & Whitney Canada to provide the battery pack for its regional hybrid-electric flight demonstrator. This recent announcement is a further illustration of H55’s position as a major enabler in the electric commuter market.
PREFERRED PROFILE AND EXPERIENCE
- Apprenticeship in mechanical, electromechanical and/or electrical domain and holder of EASA Part 66 aircraft maintenance license (B1 / B2/ C )
- University degree in a relevant engineering discipline (System engineering, Mechanical engineering, Aerospace engineering) is an asset
- Demonstrated experience and expertise typically 3+ years
- Good understanding of general aviation standards and practices in the field of activity (AC 43-13)
- Good understanding of aircraft operational characteristics to perform system/ground and flight tests
- Demonstrated ability to follow through and bring projects to its completion
- Target-oriented, with analytic problem-solving capabilities
- Well organized including the ability to properly document
- Capacity to prioritize, manage time effectively and multi-task
- Good Communication skills
- Fluency in English (oral and written), French an asset
Responsibilities:
As the Aircraft Integration Technician, holder of B2 maintenance EASA license, you will be part of the integration team. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Performing integration and modification activities related to the installation of our electric propulsion system (motor, batteries, motor controller, cabling, etc.)
- Maintaining and serving of H55 aircraft fleet (continued airworthiness)
- Documenting and/or verifying the performed integration activities
- Support test activities and troubleshooting to gain system experience and give feedback on maintainability and installability of the system.
- Performing the release to service after modification/maintenance
- Possibility of assuming a team leadership position
