Backend Developer (.NET/C#)

Summary
The IT company Andersen invites an experienced Backend Developer (.NET/C#) to work on a large-scale eCommerce project for one of our British customers.
The customer is a MACH-certified SaaS company, empowering retailers to create highly effective and fully-customized mobile native apps. The company’s clients include global brands and retailers, such as Fragrance Direct, Missguided, Belk, The Cotton On Group, Hotel Chocolat, PrettyLittleThing, Oasis, Warehouse, OKA and others.
The project is the development of web and mobile eCommerce solutions that are customized to create a stronger brand, sell more products, deepen customer loyalty and deliver highly relevant content.

Responsibilities

• Owning the back-end tech domain, playing a key role in developing technology strategy for complete and critical areas of the business.
• End-to-end technical responsibility for project delivery.
• Anticipating broad technical changes and ensuring the customer’s platform is always ahead of the curve.
• Establishing standards and best practices.
• Quickly breaking down complex problems into potential solutions, knowns, and unknowns.
• Debugging the hairiest problems that the team encounters and providing both short term and long-term solutions.
• Producing quality metrics on the SDLC process.
• Ensuring the solution is monitorable, secure and data-driven and represents the back-end team in company-level discussions.
• Leading delivery of major initiatives on clear timelines.
• Focusing on business goals and able to discern where to spend developer effort.
• Always looking to develop and improve their teams, the organization and themselves in the back-end space.
• Leading conversations internally about the direction of major areas of back-end tech, driving team-wide consensus to the adoption of this direction, and using this direction to inspire engineers.

Requirements

• Experience in backend development for 4+ years.
• Technically minded and able to quickly break down complex problems.
• Significant development experience with C# .NET Core.
• Strong knowledge of working with REST APIs using ASP.NET Web API.
• Able to write clean, maintainable, easy-to-test code.
• Experience with Test Driven Development.
• Experience developing eCommerce solutions.
• Experience with distributed systems and micro-services architecture.
• Good understanding of the Azure platform.
• Problem solving skills.
• Level of English – from Intermediate and above.
