Backend Developer (Python/SQL)

Astek has an opening of Mid - Senior level Backend Python/SQL Developer.

Responsibilities:

• Work on Data Warehouse project.
• Develop, test, and maintain backend data pipelines using Python.
• Optimize and troubleshoot SQL queries for efficient data retrieval.
• Implement and manage automation testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Utilize AWS PAAS services like Glue and Lambda for backend data processing tasks.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests for backend systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze backend requirements.
• Monitor and ensure data quality and integrity within the data warehouse.
• Provide technical support and guidance on backend development practices.
• Document backend data processes and workflows for knowledge sharing and future reference.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3+ years of relavant experience
• Proficient in Python software development with experience in multiple enterprise projects.
• Intermediate experience with Snowflake.
• Strong SQL skills in any RDBMS.
• Experience with automation testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience using AWS PAAS services like Glue and Lambda.
• Experience in writing unit and integration tests.
• Knowledge of DBT (Data Built Tool) is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Oracle PL/SQL is advantageous.
• Experience with Informatica is advantageous.
