Born out of a hellishly uncomfortable train journey, we know how frustrating train travel can be. So we’re on a mission to build a better future for billions of passengers and the rail companies. Our app is the only place you can bid to upgrade your train ticket to First Class. And we’ve created a family of products that’s disrupting the industry and offers travellers a more convenient, cost-effective and unrivalled experience.
Without our users we would be nothing, but without our partners we would have no product. Both are the flywheel that make us an up and coming powerhouse in UK rail. THE ROLE
As a Backend Engineer you’ll work cross functionally on a whole range of challenges. From optimising existing products, to building new ones, to triaging and fixing issues raised by customers and clients, you’ll partner with customer support, product, and Enterprise to make Seatfrog slicker, more efficient, and profitable.
You’ll span across multiple duties. From Helpdesk triage and bug fixes, to evolving legacy codebase (PHP, Symphony), to building integrations for new clients, you’ll have T-shaped experience that allows you to chop and change what you’re focussing on, delivering impactful solutions across multiple domains. You might find yourself working with Microservices (.Net, Typescript), or Lambdas (Typescript). Whatever you do you’ll be contributing to the turning parts that make up the Seatfrog platform.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Work with your team either in pairs during a project or looking at how to solve particular problems
- Brief work either to internal or external developers
- Build amazing projects through cross team collaboration
- Perform your own tech discovery
- Make rational calls on speed vs robustness based on the needs of the company and the project
