YOUR OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our development team in Amsterdam. Your initial focus will be in back-end development of a Rest API in Ruby on Rails backed by Postgres and deploying as containers orchestrated by Kubernetes in several cloud and bare-metal environments.
We are a tightly integrated team, so you will also have the opportunity to work with our React/Typescript front-end and our machine-learning codebases.
REQUIREMENTS
Your skills
- You have 3-5 years of experience as a web application backend developer focusing on Ruby on Rails
- You have experience with Postgres, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes and adjacent tech
- You are able to take a feature from business requirements to secure, performant implementation in collaboration with a small team
- You have a learning mindset and bring curiosity to tackle new coding challenges
- You work collaboratively in an engineering team and are empathic towards our end-users
- You are excited about our social mission to empower everyone to have a pathway to employment
SALARY & START-DATE
- We use a salary benchmark for the Dutch high-tech sector to set your salary based on your experience. We expect that the annual gross salary for the experience we are looking for ranges from 55k-65k Euro per year.
- We accept applications on a rolling basis, and we envision a start date as soon as possible.
