POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Baker at Aria Kitchen, you will be responsible for the daily production of our baked goods, including a wide variety of breads, pastries, desserts, and specialty items. You will work closely with our kitchen team to ensure that all baked products meet the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation. The ideal candidate will have experience in professional baking, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for the art of baking.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a professional baker or pastry chef, ideally in a restaurant, bakery, or catering setting.
  • Proficient in mixing, proofing, baking, and decorating a variety of baked goods. Knowledge of different types of doughs, batters, and baking techniques is essential.
  • A passion for creating new and innovative baked goods while maintaining the quality and consistency of traditional favorites.
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions with precision and deliver high-quality products consistently.
  • Capable of standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds, as well as performing repetitive tasks in a busy kitchen environment.
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices, including proper handling, storage, and preparation of food products.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Friendly, reliable, and eager to contribute to a positive work culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods including but not limited to bread, rolls, pastries, cakes, cookies, muffins, and seasonal items.
  • Assist in developing new recipes and perfecting existing ones, ensuring creativity while maintaining consistency.
  • Ensure all products meet Aria Kitchen’s high standards of quality, flavor, and appearance. Perform regular taste tests to ensure consistency.
  • Monitor inventory levels for baking ingredients, ordering supplies as needed, and ensuring the proper storage of all ingredients to maintain freshness and quality.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards. Follow all procedures for the safe use and cleaning of baking equipment.
  • Work effectively with other kitchen staff, including chefs, kitchen assistants, and front-of-house teams, to ensure timely service and smooth operations.
  • Occasionally interact with customers to provide excellent service, take special orders, or provide recommendations.
  • Ability to work efficiently and manage time in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines, especially during peak hours.
  • Assist in baking for special events, catering orders, and seasonal promotions as needed.
