With grocery, butchery, seafood, deli, bakery, produce, liquor, chilled and frozen, online and checkout departments in a beautiful new store, we are bringing a new era of shopping to our wonderful customers.

We are currently seeking a qualified or equally experienced Bakery 2IC to be part of the amazing team at New World Mangawhai!
As the 2IC, you will play a pivotal role in assisting the Bakery Manager in the day-to-day operations of our Bakery department. You’ll contribute to delivering a positive shopping experience for our customers while ensuring operational excellence in the Bakery. This is a busy department and maintaining all Food Safety and Health and Safety standards every day is required.

Bakery 2IC Role:

• Assist in all areas of bakery production as required
• Maintain daily operations and people leadership in collaboration with the Bakery Manager
• Ensure all customer special orders are prepared to agreed timeframes
• Follow Health and Safety and Well-being, Food Safety, and store procedures
• Through attention to details, ensure high presentation standards for the bakery department & store at all times
• Physical role, therefore, it is essential to be physically fit with the ability to lift 20kgs on a regular basis throughout the day
