Description:

Butter Pecan Bakeshop has the BEST Cookies in the Bay! We are in need of additional bakery team members to keep up with demand. We specialize in freshly baked cookies available for local pick-up, delivery, and nationwide shipping. Come learn the ropes of the food and beverage industry at our fast-paced gourmet cookie company!

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Reliable, come to work on time and EXCELLENT ATTENDANCE ARE REQUIRED.
  • Must maintain and follow strict cleaning and food handling/safety guidelines. Hairnet, mask, and gloves are required at all times.
  • Do basic math and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Hard-working
  • Requires PHYSICAL STAMINA and REPETITION
  • Has integrity, positive attitude & takes initiative
  • Is comfortable working on a team and independently
  • Must be trustworthy. Will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) to protect recipes, etc.
  • Has the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Has excellent organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently
  • Ability to multitask while paying special attention to detail and is meticulous
  • Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule according to business needs
  • Moderate verbal and written communication skills
  • Is legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must pass background check

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Frequent and repetitive hand movements, walking, kneeling, bending, and reaching overhead
  • Handle heavy dough
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift, move and carry up to 50 pounds

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Must be able to speak, read, and write in English

Responsibilities:

Assist with dough preparation including but not limited to:

  • Handling dough
  • Rolling/circling dough
  • Weighing/measuring dough
  • Mixing ingredients
  • Clean up/dishes
  • Assist in kitchen to support all baking activities when needed
  • Food Handler’s Certificate required upon hire
