JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to work our back bake area with our new bakery Manager Chef Miguel! The ideal candidate will have experience in baking and a keen interest in food preparation. As a Bakery Assistant, you will support the bakery operations by assisting with various tasks, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and presentation. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have a knack for efficiency.

SKILLS

• Experience or knowledge in using ovens and baking times.
• Proficiency in food preparation techniques, including baking and cooking.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices for food handling.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy kitchen environment..
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
• Previous experience in a restaurant or bakery setting is a plus but not required.

  Pay: $17.20-$20.00 per hour
  Expected hours: 33 – 50 per week

• Assist in the preparation and baking of various bakery items, including cookies, pastries, and turnovers.
• Package/Bag baked goods with creativity and attention to detail.
• Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are met during food preparation and handling.
• Package baked goods for display and sale, ensuring they are presented attractively.
• Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing work surfaces.
• Process fruit and vegetables in sellable sample contains
• Support the head baker in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
