Description:
The post holder is responsible for working in clinical or technical (workshop) areas to carry out scheduled preventative maintenance, servicing, repair, calibration, safety and acceptance testing. The Post holder should have the ability to work independently and will liaise with clinical, technical and supplier staff to identify faults and repair a wide range of medical equipment and is required to work to high standards of safety and accountability. The post will adhere to any training guidance created for the training pathway to senior level and the core of the post is to supply technical expertise at the department level acting as key person for problem solving within the trust for medical devices. The option to repair the machinery both electrical and mechanical for a complete in-depth PPM task needs to be considered for part of this role
