Description:
Band 6 Trainee Psychological Therapist or Band 7 Psychological Therapist (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy)
We have an exciting vacancy that have arisen for a Band 6 Trainee Psychological Therapist or Band 7 Psychological Therapist within our Integrated Community Care and Recovery (ICCR) Services. The post is suitable for an individual already enrolled on a postgraduate diploma CBT for Psychosis and Bipolar training course or those who have completed their qualification in CBT for Psychosis and Bipolar Disorder.
There is a possibility that this post can be structured as a clinical training post for a candidate interested in developing their skills in working with people with a diagnosis of Psychosis and Bipolar Disorder. There would be an expectation that the appointed candidate would enter into and complete an appropriate training course, and we would support them in doing this. A candidate who is in training would be appointed at a Band 6 until successful completion of their qualification (fixed term contract - 2 years).
We are looking for a suitably experienced and qualified psychological practitioner with an existing core profession (e.g. nursing, social work, occupational therapy). The post-holder will be part of multi-professional teams supporting the Transformation of our Community Services in BSMHFT as part of the NHS Long Term Plan.
There is one full-time post available, based at Northcroft CMHT, Erdington, Birmingham.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed and skilled clinician who can work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, to provide a range of clinical services. The individual will have excellent opportunities to gain experience of multilevel and integrated service provision and to further develop skills of complex case assessment, formulation and the application of evidence based psychological interventions, both individual and in groups. You should have experience of working with service users with complex mental health and behavioural needs.
