Description:
This is an opportunity for 12 months to contribute to the development of the multi-disciplinary Be Safe Service and the Safer Options Consultation Service (SOTICS) alongside the Clinical Team Manager/Clinical Lead and other senior clinicians. The role may include clinical activity, providing training, and consultation, and co-ordination of SOTICS. Be Safe works with children and young people who have harmed sexually and their parents/carers and their support network. in providing evidence and trauma informed assessments and interventions.
SOTICS provides case formulation to multi-agency professionals who work with young people at risk of serious youth violence, CSE and/or CSE. The approach is informed by the Trauma Recovery Model and Enhanced Care Management approach.
The postholder is required to have Professional qualification and registration in either Social Work; Mental Health Nursing; Clinical Psychology; Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy or Counselling; Occupational Therapy; Family Therapy or other relevant professional qualifications in relation to child mental health, social care, criminal justice, and harmful sexual behaviour in children and young people.
To work with the Clinical Team Manager/Lead and SOTICS Highly Specialist Clinician in ensuring the development of the service and responsiveness to the changing evidence base in the area to ensure continuing improvements to the service in line with organisational goals and maintenance of excellent clinical standards and meet the needs of the diverse backgrounds of those the service works with.
To undertake targeted and comprehensive assessments of children and young people who have engaged in problematic or harmful sexual behaviour and with their parents/carers within agreed timeframes.
To provide training, consultation and advice to a broad range of professionals including social care, health, criminal justice, and education professionals. This could relate to case formulation, risk management and safety planning as well as care and treatment options.

ensuring the development of the service and responsiveness to the changing evidence base in delivering and supporting the delivery of trauma informed consultation, assessment and intervention services.

In collaboration with service users, parents/carers, referrers and the multi-agency network supporting the child/young person, to be responsible across the service for facilitating and ensuring the development and review of complex comprehensive care plans, therapeutic intervention goals, and case formulation.
To provide consultation to the multi-agency network supporting the child/young person and their parents/carers, including social care, health, education, and criminal justice professionals.
To provide training to a broad range of professionals.
To ensure appropriate record keeping.
To support data collection, audit, and evaluation as appropriate
