Description:

The award-winning Integrated Access Partnership (IAP) is seeking a Team Manager to join our innovative mental health service on a 12-month fixed term/secondment basis. The IAP provides a fully integrated urgent and emergency mental health care pathway across both 999 and 111 services in the South West. Please see our additional information sheet and the following for more information on what the IAP does: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EUaAYFloE2o&feature=youtu.be
This exciting role offers the opportunity to help lead and develop our Mental Health Clinical Assessment Service (MH CAS) within the wider IAP model. You’ll join an existing dynamic leadership team including another Team Manager and a Team Leader, working closely together to oversee all aspects of service delivery and development.
We’re looking for an experienced leader with strong management skills to support our multidisciplinary team of registered and non-registered mental health professionals. While clinical registration is desirable, we welcome applications from both clinical and non-clinical backgrounds as we value diverse leadership experience.
You’ll play a key role in shaping this nationally-recognised service as we continue to expand and innovate. With recent accolades from NHS England and parliamentary recognition, the IAP is at the forefront of transforming urgent mental health care and you will be key to ensuring its future success.
As an IAP Team Manager specialising in the MH CAS service, but still working across the IAP model, sharing roles and responsibilities with the the other team manager and team leader, your key responsibilities will include:
Providing direct leadership and management for the MH CAS service, including line management of a designated group of the whole IAP workforce
Maintaining operational oversight of day-to-day service delivery across the IAP
Ensuring a resilient, effective and engaged workforce through recruitment, retention and staff development initiatives
Fostering a supportive team culture focused on wellbeing and continuous improvement
Collaborating with the Senior Leadership Team on service development and innovation
Leading on quality improvement, auditing and service evaluation for the MH CAS
Supporting complex operational decision-making when required
Managing workforce planning, including rostering, sickness absence, and performance
Overseeing staff engagement, onboarding, and retention strategies
Representing the IAP in stakeholder engagement with key stakeholders
Working in partnership with 999, 111 and urgent care services to enhance mental health crisis provision
Contributing to the wider strategic development of the IAP model
