Description:

Due to additional investment in psychological therapies in preparation for the implementation of the Community Mental Health Framework, we have a number of exciting opportunities for Clinical Psychologists/CBT Therapists to work with our Recovery community services as part of the Psychological Therapies Service.
We are looking for flexible and enthusiastic therapists committed to working with people with severe and enduring mental health needs. We have posts which are initially available as fixed term positions or secondments for 12 months.
The posts would suit either experienced clinical psychologists/ CBT therapists or would be a great development opportunity for Band 7 psychologists with suitable experience. In the latter case additional support and mentoring would be provided. The posts are available as either 0.8 8a (30hrs per week) or full time Band 7 (37.5hrs per week) depending on experience.
You will offer highly specialist psychological assessments and both long and short-term interventions as well as providing advice, consultation and training to other team members. The ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams will be essential to developing your role within this post. You will need to be well organised with the ability to prioritise your work according to clinical need and liaise effectively with team colleagues and professionals in other agencies.
North Somerset PTS services work across all community, acute and inpatient services within North Somerset. The service is staffed by a multidisciplinary team comprising of clinical psychologists, arts psychotherapists, CBT therapists and family therapists and work closely with other services.
We are a friendly and supportive team, who are highly valued within local services. We also have strong links to local training courses and host a number of trainee therapists.
We place a high value on continuing professional development and there will be opportunities within the post for areas of specialist clinical interest.
