Description:

As a trust bank A&E nurse you will be able to choose a flexible working pattern to suit your work life balance in either of our two emergency departments working as part of a committed multidisciplinary team.

We are looking for bank nurses to work in our Emergency Department.
We offer regular days and night shifts and pay a full 11.5 hours for a long shift.
You must be a qualified nurse with 6 months post qualification experience preferable in an acute setting.
You must have completed a certificate in Critical care and be able to provide evidence of this.

Our Emergency Department sees over 90,000 patients a year, and has an integrated Paediatric Emergency Department and an Urgent Care Centre. In addition to this, we are in the unique position of having a consultant led care of the Elderly Team who assess older patients for appropriate admission or organise enhanced social care support in the community.
The Urgent Care Centre within our Emergency Department has our ENPs working with the GPs to deliver an efficient and responsive service. The department has an active research programme with a number of nursing staff within the department undertaking research projects.

We offer a variety of bank shifts both days, nights and weekends across all our sites with competitive hourly rates. Our long day and night shift are paid at 11.5 hours.
The post holder is responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care with the multidisciplinary team and patients’ families.
The chief responsibility of the post holder will be to assess, plan, implement and
evaluate nursing care and to act as a named nurse under the supervision of a senior team leader.
As part of the Accident and Emergency Nursing Team, in the event of a major incident being declared, it is expected that the post holder will support and respond as requested by the department
