Bank Dietitian Assistant/ Assistant Practitioner

We cover a wide range of specialities including oral nutrition support, diabetes, gastroenterology, home enteral tube feeding, IBD, IBS, paediatrics (in St Helens and Knowsley), transitional care and support for oncology patients. Our Assistant team support the Dietetic team with e-registration of patients on tube feeds, clinical administration, patient assessments and reviews and care home and patient education. We are actively involved in Student Training, Dietetic Apprenticeships and training and development of staff and patients. We are a large and friendly team who offer flexible working patterns and clinical supervision and peer support.
We work closely with acute trusts across the region, particularly in complex feeding MDTs and admission avoidance. Within Dietetics and other professions, bank staff can help to temporarily fill vacancies whilst permanent recruitment is underway. In some cases, bank staffing may facilitate ongoing service provision when and short-term pilot, audit or project opportunities without the commitment to a permanent contrac
