We’d like you to join us as a Gardener at our service Woodlands in York.
Woodlands a Neurological Rehabilitation Service in Yorkshire provides specialist level 2 Neurological Rehabilitation and Neurobehavioural services for adults in York. We’re committed to helping every person we support feel safe, happy, empowered enabling them to live the best life possible.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and friendly individual who will have a genuine interest in garden maintenance and would welcome the responsibility of maintaining our beautiful garden here at Woodlands. Working days are flexible to suit your lifestyle and these could be over a weekend. All tools and equipment will be provided.

Duties would include, but not limited to;

• All tools and equipment will be provided.
• Grass cutting and edging
• Border maintenance
• Weed maintenance and strimming
• Hedge trimming
• Clearing leaves and leaf blowing
• Horticulture activities such as planting, pruning and seeding
• Maintenance of seating areas
• Gritting, clearing paths and car parks in winter months
• General good housekeeping of the grounds

REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE:

To be enthusiastic and conscientious, diligent and to have a flexible approach, and “can do attitude”
Appointment will be subject to successful completion of an enhanced DBS check which the centre will cover the cost for.
