The role
We currently have an exciting vacancy for a qualified and experienced Bank Sonographer to join the team at Duchy Hospital. As a Sonographer, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional ultrasound service, ensuring clinical safety at all times together with high quality patient care. You will be responsible for conducting a wide range of ultrasound examinations and reporting on findings, providing crucial information for patient diagnosis and treatment.

What you will bring with you

• HCPC Registration
• PGDip in Medical Ultrasound / DMU equivalent
• Have significant experience working as a Sonographer, ideally within the NHS or a private sector
• Experience of working with Clinical Leads in specialist areas to develop services, and with a multi-disciplinary team
• Be able to independently perform, interpret and report general ultrasound examinations
• Manage your own workload, as well as that of your team, and be confident as a lone worker Sonographer
• Be able to assess and refer patients if further examinations/interventions are required
