POSITION DESCRIPTION

DBL Law is seeking an entry-level Commercial Lending Paralegal. The person in this position will provide paralegal support for the commercial lending group. This position offers a competitive salary, good benefits, and pleasant working conditions

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • 1-2 years of experience in a law firm.
  • Knowledge of commercial lending matters.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Strong critical thinking skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple projects with short deadlines.
  • Willingness to work on a team in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the completion of commercial lending transactions by assembling and reviewing closing documents and completing and monitoring post-closing tasks.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of loan and title documents, checking for completeness and accuracy, and obtaining signatures.
  • Assist with the preparation, coordination or review of due diligence for commercial lending transactions.
  • Assist with preparation and monitoring of transaction checklists.
  • Respond to inquiries from all persons involved in a commercial lending transaction in a timely and professional manner including lenders, borrower parties, and title companies.
  • Record important dates and maintain files.
  • Coordinate closings with all parties.
  • Invoicing and follow up.
  • Other duties as assigned.
