CANDIDATE PROFILE:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role, managing more than one team member. They must possess strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. A proven record of problem-solving and the ability to take ownership and responsibility for their role is essential. The candidate must be able to work to strict deadlines and demonstrate excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Flogas Ireland is seeking to recruit a Team Lead to join our energy banking team. This is a fast-paced and busy role within our banking team, offering excellent experience in an evolving energy business. The position is a 12-month fixed-term contract and will operate under a hybrid model.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the banking team, consisting of 5 members covering electricity and gas systems.
  • Ensure daily postings for electricity and gas in the respective ERPs are accurately completed.
  • Maintain adequate coverage to ensure completion of daily postings from all payment sources.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly checks of controls and reconciliations, including clearing accounts and bank reconciliations with minimal reconciling items.
  • Monitor the Unpaids process and ensure control reconciliations are completed.
  • Oversee the Refunds process to ensure they are processed within SLA.
  • Serve as the point of escalation for Unpaids and Refund queries from the Complaints Department.
  • Monitor Global Payments and relevant reconciliations, following up on any discrepancies that arise.
  • Manage escalations from the team inboxes and ensure timely resolutions.
  • Ensure banking team communications are sent to customers timely and accurately.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in peer groups for cross-team collaboration and process enhancements.
  • Identify and manage cross-training opportunities within the banking team.
  • Perform additional duties as identified by the manager to support the team and department objectives.
