Description:
Courtyard Prince George is recruiting for a Casual Banquet Cook to join our team! This role is responsible for exhibiting culinary talents by preparing dishes and assisting the Head Chef in all food related functions. This role will also work with the Culinary team to ensure quality presentation and flavour of all prepared food items. QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to meet physical needs of the position (standing and walking for extended periods of time, lifting up to 50 lbs)
- Food Safe Certification
- Clear and concise communication skills
- Highly responsible and reliable under minimal supervision
- Good time management skills and multi-tasking ability
- Passion for cooking and cleanliness
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $18.50-$22.00 per hour

Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping and storing food
- Preparation and production of menu items in compliance with recipes and specifications
- Assists the Head Chef in day-to-day operations, ensuring quality standards and meeting the expectations of guests and organizers
- Prepares and cook food of all types, either on a regular basis or for special guests or functions
- Recognizes superior quality products, presentations and flavour
- Communicates any production needs to the Head Chef
- Provide services that are above and beyond for guest satisfaction and retention
- Improve service by communicating and assisting F&B personnel while providing guidance
- Prepare dishes for guests with food allergies or intolerances
- Adhere to all required health and safety regulations, including brand standards and procedures while preparing food
- General stewarding duties including dishwashing, sweeping and mopping
- Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, storage areas, appliances and equipment
- Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas
- Listen and respond professionally to all questions and concerns internally and externally
