    Job Description

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS INCLUDE:

  • Minimum 1 year in a similar function in Food & Beverage, preferably Banquets or Conventions
  • Post-Secondary education in Hotel/Food and Beverage Management an asset
  • Self‑motivated, with the ability to make effective decisions
  • Demonstrates initiative, and the ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to maintain high service levels under pressure
  • Physically fit to lift trays repeatedly, stand and walk for the duration of the shift.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide prompt, courteous and efficient food & beverage service in accordance with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts food & beverage standards
  • Collection and polishing of all chinaware and glassware for upcoming functions
  • Work as part of a team to provide a consistently high standard of service in areas such as meeting set ups and all meal functions
  • Demonstrate professional and positive image to guests and colleagues at all times
  • Effectively handle guest concerns through empowerment, and report any irregularities to Leader
  • Report any deficiencies in equipment or level of supplies to the Banquet Supervisors
  • Ensure the equipment and all work areas are maintained to hotel standard
  • Properly stock all convention equipment in appropriate areas as per the hotel standards
  • Participation in departmental meetings, inter departmental meetings, shift line ups and incentive programs
  • Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times
  • Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the hotel health and safety program
  • Assist the house team in setting up function rooms and moving banquet assets/furniture
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment, and actively participate in health and safety initiatives
  • Adhere to all hotel environmental policies and initiatives
  • Carry out any other tasks as assigned
