W Rome is casting for a Bar Supervisor. Reporting to the Bar Manager, the Bar Supervisor will be part of a team of high-level professionals with a strong passion for bartendering and mixology.

Responsibilities:

  • In charge of the bar outlets operations in the absence of the Bar Manager and the Beverage and Bars Manager.
  • Represent and be the face of the hotel/bar to all guests.
  • Engage guests with the origin, vintage, and style of various cocktails.
  • Focus on storytelling and W HOTELS brand identity.
  • Count bank at end of shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank.
  • Obtain change required for expected business level and keeping bank secure at all times.
  • Check quality and quantity of all stock and supplies. Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs promptly.
  • Research new bartending and mixologist trends and benchmark competitors
  • Participate in creating and updating the cocktail list, support events and daily rituals
  • Welcome guests and be the W HOTELS brand ambassador; manage guests’ requests and complaints in line with our service culture
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures and brand identity guidelines
  • Comply with all health, safety and hygiene standards and policies.
  • Balance the cash register at the start and close of each shift.
  • Order and restock bar inventory (Requisitions, fruit orders…)
  • Create drinks recipes
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
  • Support all co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect.
  • Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
