Description:

Bella Aurora Cafe is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Baristas/Cashiers with at least 1 year of barista experience to join our vibrant team. If you have a passion for coffee, enjoy interacting with people, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you. Please note that all applicants will be asked to perform basic barista tasks during the interview process. Additionally, there is an unpaid training period.

Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders efficiently, and ensuring a world-class guest experience.
  • Beverage Preparation: Consistently prepare high-quality beverages by adhering to all recipes and presentation standards.
  • Point of Sale Operations: Accurately handle cash transactions and operate the POS system with proficiency.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment by following health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Team Collaboration: Work cohesively with team members to support store operations and contribute to a positive work atmosphere.
  • Customer Engagement: Anticipate customer needs by actively observing and responding to cues, ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Attendance: Maintain regular and punctual attendance to support the team’s scheduling needs.
  • Additional Duties: Assist with various tasks as needed to ensure smooth cafe operations.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: At least 1 year of barista experience is required.
  • Quick Learner: Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new processes and procedures.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in a second language (e.g., Chinese) is an asset.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Physical Requirements:

  • Mobility: Ability to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods.
  • Manual Dexterity: Frequent reaching, turning, and performing tasks that require fine motor skills.
  • Lifting: Ability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds.
  • Sensory Requirements: Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make fine discriminations in sound.

Pay: $15.50-$17.5 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
