Description:

CONTRACT: PERMANENTSALARY: 13.60

An informal, co-educational independent day school in Golders Green, North London for students from reception to sixth form. Catering for 750 students and teachers. We offer a core feeding of snacks and lunch with some hospitality. This is a term-time only role working 42 weeks a year and operates Monday to Friday.
We are looking for a talented Barista & Food Service Supervisor to join our team at one of our prestigious contracts in London.

KNOWLEDGE / COMPETENCIES:

  • Hold a level 2 Food Hygiene qualification.
  • Barista experience would be desirable but not essential as training will be provided
  • Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to deal effectively and courteously with people in order to provide a high level of customer care
  • Good written and oral communication skills, including the ability to receive, record and transmit messages accurately and quickly
  • Practice of building good working relationships with members of staff and the wider KAS community
  • Relevant experience of customer and / or food preparation environment is preferred.

In order to fill this role effectively, the ideal candidate will have the following skills and experiences:

  • Proven experience of managing a team in a similar environment.
  • Team working abilities, listening skills, the ability to work on own initiative, impeccable personal presentation, hygiene and behaviour to others, Food Hygiene certificate preferred.
  • The ability to be adaptable and flexible as necessary. Reliable and able to demonstrate an open attentive approach to customer service. Ability to deal with customer complaints and queries.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and take on responsibility.
  • Ability to manage some moderately heavy lifting, carrying, and pushing
