Description:
As a Bartender at The Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, a Belmond Train, you are an integral part of a bartending team that brings innovation to beverages and guest experiences. In this role, you’ll work with a range of premium spirits, locally sourced ingredients, and unique flavours to craft exceptional and exclusive cocktails. You’ll engage with guests, understand their preferences, and create customized cocktails tailored to their tastes. REQUIREMENTS
- Several years’ experience in Hospitality at luxury level
- Strong knowledge of mixology, cocktail recipes, and different types of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Ability to engage with guests, understand their preferences, make recommendations, and provide a positive experience
- Restaurant experience of advantage
- Travelling extensively across Europe
- European or Swiss passport
- Fluency in English and Italian, a basic comprehension French of a plus

Responsibilities:
- Preparing and serving a wide range of beverages, exhibiting a strong knowledge of different cocktails, beverages, and foods.
- Providing excellent customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions, and making them feel welcome and comfortable
- Making recommendations to guests by demonstrating a thorough knowledge of the beverage menu, inlaying ingredients, flavours, and presentation of each drink
- Mixing and garnishing drinks to meet guest preferences and internal standards
- Promoting featured drinks, specials, or promotions to guests
- Enforcing all legal regulations related to serving alcoholic beverages, such as checking identification for age verifications and refusing service to intoxicated individuals
