An exciting opportunity to be part of Vancouver’s newest hotspot The Parker Rooftop, situated on the nineth floor of The Parker Hotel, (formerly known as the Vintage Park Hotel.) An exciting chance to work in a bright, trendy, but relaxed-luxurious inspired indoor lounge; complemented by three open air rooftop terraces and surrounded by amazing views of our beautiful city’s skyline. Our guests will indulge in seasonal and international inspired meals while sipping on a tantalizing glass of champagne or one of our carefully curated and refreshing craft cocktails.

We are looking to hire full time and parttime mixologists/bartenders. Our ideal candidates, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, interacting with guests, and bring a positive & professional work ethic.
They will have a passion for food, beverage and genuine hospitality. Strong cocktail knowledge, spirit knowledge, wine knowledge and great technique with an individual flair. Be dedicated and earnest in learning our approach to cocktails.
BARTENDER QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2+ years of bartending experience
- Must be of legal drinking age
- Serving it Right certified, Food Safe an asset, Wset 1, 2, and 3 an asset
- Working knowledge of classic standard drink recipes, spirits, wine and beer
- Understanding of classes of alcohol, different glasses, brand names and garnishments
- Working knowledge of bar equipment
- Knowledge and education in mixology
- Able to work weekends
- Able to work in a standing position for long periods
- Able to communicate effectively with both FOH and BOH
- Be able to reach and bend and frequently lift up to 30 pounds
CORE SKILLS:
- Have an impeccable knowledge of spirits, classic cocktails and wine
- Be passionate about progressive techniques in cocktail development
- Be Passionate about learning and sharing that knowledge about wine with our guests
- Must have a positive attitude and be guest service orientated
- Work well and excel within a close team
- Be accountable and willing to learn
- Work effectively while under pressure

Responsibilities:
- Interact with guests to leave lasting positive impressions while simultaneously creating
great experiences through cocktail/mocktail making
- Follow direction from the General Manager/Bar Manager/Corporate Beverage Director
and execute recipes impeccably and with ease.
- Maintain and fulfill prep and stock lists pertaining to our cocktail program
- Fulfill opening and closing duties efficiently and effectively
- Keep a clean and safe work environment by following all health, safety and hygiene
standards and policies.
- Upsell to maximize revenue
- Serve guests responsibly
- Be able to process transactions in a timely fashion through our POS and handheld
terminal system
- Accurately be able to balance a register
