We are seeking a driven and energetic individual to join our growing business in Eastern Ontario as a PART-TIME BARTENDER. Under the general direction of the Manager, Food and Beverage , this position is responsible for mixing and serving beverages, while establishing a safe and welcoming environment for all employees and guests. Above all else, must be aligned with, and promote, Shorelines Casinos culture and philosophy of creating great, memorable experiences for our guests and colleagues.
SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL DEMONSTRATE THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:
- People-focused and committed to service excellence
- Proactive and solution-oriented with a drive to succeed
- High School Diploma; Post-Secondary hospitality or hotel education an asset
- Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills
- Bartending and serving experience (preferred)
- Customer service experience
- Smart Serve Certificate or willing to obtain
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
Responsibilities:
- Exceeds guest expectations by providing outstanding customer service
- Helps create an engaging work environment by choosing positivity and fun, recognizing excellent peer performance, and by caring about and supporting our colleagues every day
- Informs guests of any daily specials
- Takes guests orders and makes recommendations
- Prepares beverages
- Serves the guests and checks to ensure satisfaction
- Resolves guests issues or asks for management assistance if required
- Presents bills upon request and taking payments
- Cleans tables or counters, removes glasses and re-stocks bar when required
- Covers other bartenders’ sections if required
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed.
