Responsibilities:
As Battery Asset & Contract Manager, the primary goal is to play an integral part in the asset management and operations of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) units. This involves not only overseeing the day-to-day management and optimisation of these assets but also handling contract management responsibilities with suppliers and commercial partners. Your responsibilities will include coordinating and negotiating agreements, ensuring compliance with contractual terms, and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders to maximise the efficiency and performance of the BESS units.
You will assist in the development, implementation, and periodic review of Strategic Asset Management Plans (SAMP) to ensure the effective long-term management of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) assets. Your duties will also include creating and managing asset work orders, purchase orders, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to guarantee timely and effective maintenance and operational performance.
You will coordinate closely with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Ausgrid field management teams to execute Asset Management Plans (AMPs) and handle unplanned maintenance activities. Overseeing OEM contracts and warranty management will be key to ensuring compliance and optimal performance.
Your role will involve monitoring and analysing the reliability, performance, and availability of the BESS portfolio, providing regular reports and insights. You will utilise operational insights and value engineering principles to optimize long-term performance and efficiency.
This opportunity will see you coordinate with network control teams and commercial partners to manage both planned and unplanned outages, aiming to minimize disruption and ensure efficient resolution. As the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on battery performance and operations, you will support commercial partner management, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing for services provided to clients, while maintaining high standards of financial accuracy, will also be part of your responsibilities.
