This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Battery Certification & Compliance Engineer to join our fast-growing team.
Responsibilities:
- Be a key member of the Battery Integration Department within the R&D Engineering function.
- Responsible for the Certification & Homologation Attribute ensuring we meet all of the vertical market requirements across the globe. Examples are Rail, Marine, On Highway, Off Highway and Mining.
- You will be responsible for generating the requirements deck at a battery level within each market.
- Researching and ensuring the documentation and standards are clearly defined.
- Collaborate and build solid relationships with certification bodies.
- Create and manage the Design Verification Plan.
- Working with the Test Team to coordinate the physical testing of the battery platform to achieve the requirements be that in house or outsourced testing.
- Working with Manufacturing to ensure test packs are built to the correct specification and instrumented as required
- Travel to external test houses
- Collaborating across the Mechanical and Electrical Systems Team to ensure best in class product is designed.
- Understand the commercial strategy and how your role will impact product delivery.
- Manage the certification documentation for the products we manufacture
