Job Description

  • Manage the shipping of completed battery packs to test facilities according to customer requirements.
  • Coordinate and execute validation testing based on the Design Validation Plan and Report (DVP&R), adhering to test specifications and best practices.
  • Ensure timely provision of test specifications, procedures, and hardware to meet test targets.
  • Review and approve test setups at various facilities before test commencement.
  • Track test progress, report updates in program meetings, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Maintain comprehensive records for each validation test and approve final test reports.
  • Lead the development and improvement of Test Procedures, Design Validation Plans (DV), and Process Validation Plans (PV) for EV Battery development.
  • Provide technical support as a Resident Engineer at Testing Suppliers.
  • Investigate validation issues, conduct root cause analysis, and develop corrective action plans.
  • Utilize tools like CANalyzer to integrate battery control modules.
  • Apply proactive and reactive engineering problem-solving skills.
  • Lead root cause analysis to identify failure modes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct tests to recreate failure modes identified during validation testing or warranty claims.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Understanding of automotive battery designs.
  • Knowledge of electronic bill of material systems and CAD systems.
  • Familiarity with fasteners and torque.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Understanding of battery electronics.
  • Knowledge of tools for collecting and plotting battery data.
