Description:

Valiant is seeking a Battlespace Simulation Engineer to provide technical preparation, operation, and maintenance of advanced distributed computer-based Intelligence simulations in support of military training and other events. Technical preparation includes System administration; management of operating systems and applications; database build, test and integration; software system maintenance. Support to the design and planning of military exercises includes: Scenario development, providing technical planning products, and the preparation of the intelligence simulations support plan and systems/network architecture. System administration supports various operating systems across Networks spanning several security levels, including accredited
cross-domain solutions and guard systems. This is a full-time position located at the Joint Multinational Simulation Center (JMSC), Grafenwöhr, Germany

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of recent specialized experience OR an associate degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience OR a major certification plus 7 years of recent specialized experience OR 11 years of recent specialized experience.
  • An active U.S. Top Secret/SCI security clearance with the ability to pass a CI/Polygraph exam.
  • A fundamental understanding of Linux commands, a working knowledge of Red Hat Linux OS and Windows 10 OS, VMware applications and familiarity with SQL*Plus, Perl, HTML, JavaScript, Bash, Cold Fusion, and CSS.
  • IAT Level II per DoD 8570 (CompTIA Security+)

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience configuring, operating, administering, troubleshooting, and maintaining one or more of the following simulations and communications software: Ability to develop, manage and troubleshoot simulation databases. o Intelligence and Electronic Warfare Tactical Proficiency Trainer (IEWTPT) suite. o Joint Land Component Commander Training Capability (JLCCTC) / Warfighter’s Simulation (WARSIM) / WARSIM Intelligence Model (WIM). o Radiant Mercury (RM) o Forcepoint High Speed

Guard (HSG)

  • Fundamental understanding of Joint Simulation Protocol Analyzer (JSPA) software to include configuring various filters and playback log files.
  • Working knowledge of BIOS and RAID configurations to assist in troubleshooting
  • Experience with system and/or network administration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience working in a multiple-enclave environment with access to sensitive data.
  • Experience implementing information assurance measures in accordance with RMF/STIs regulations and patch management.
  • Detailed understanding of a server-client operating environment.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to document and update processes.
  • Ability to perform tasks under deadlines.
  • Ability to work with senior Government and Industry leaders.
  • Must possess a very high degree of attention to detail.
  • Capable of working at a computer terminal for extended periods.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, day or night, for consecutive days up to 2 weeks.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide intelligence simulation support and planning products, including, but not limited to: Architecture designs; technical products; and data evaluation; for military training exercises at JMSC and the Joint Multinational Readiness Center (JMRC) in

support of the U.S. Army Europe readiness, multinational training exercises, and other engagement activities.

  • Administer all Battle Space Engineering simulation system hardware and software to include servers, networks, and workstations.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the Battle Space Engineering systems and ancillary systems technical operations, setup, tear down, and accreditation artifacts.
  • Install, administer, and maintain current and future Battle Space Engineering models.

• Assist with troubleshooting the Distributed Interaction Simulation (DIS) network. • Install and configure all Information Assurance security updates and anti-virus signature

updates.

  • Work in conjunction with the JMSC spoke sites and JMRC to provide distributed simulation support as required.
  • Maintain currency in all on-site models, systems and supporting hardware/software.
  • Provide liaison to exercise planning activities.
  • Provide AAR products as required.
