A leading multidisciplinary consultancy based outside Dublin city have a new opportunity for an experienced BCAR Manager or Building Inspector to join the team.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for overseeing compliance across a range of residential, mixed-use and commercial development with the Building Control Amendment Regulations (BCAR) and ensuring that construction projects meet all required industry standards and regulations.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED:
- Educational qualification in Construction management, Engineering, Architecture, Surveying, or related discipline
- Extensive knowledge of BCAR and current building regulation
- Proven experience in a similar role, with a track record of ensuring compliance with current regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Strong IT proficiency
- Full driving licence

Responsibilities:
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with BCAR and other relevant building regulations
- Review and approve inspection plans, certificates, and other documentation related to building projects
- Liaise with contractors, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders
- Maintain accurate records of all inspections and compliance documentation
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams regarding BCAR requirements
- Prepare detailed reports on inspection findings and recommend corrective actions as necessary
