We’re looking for a dedicated Beautician to join our care home team, where you’ll provide a range of professional beauty services that brighten the days of our residents and help them feel pampered and well-cared for.
Contract: £11.44 per hour (Zero hours contract with flexible working times, including some weekends)

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Proven Beautician Skills: Demonstrated experience in beauty therapy, with a focus on providing exceptional service in a caring environment.
Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail in your beauty treatments and in maintaining a clean, organized salon.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to build rapport with residents and understand their preferences.
Commitment to Care: A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine interest in the well-being of our residents.

As a Beautician, you’ll play a vital role in enhancing the well-being of our residents. Beyond just offering beauty treatments, you’ll provide a much-needed touch of normality and comfort, helping our residents look and feel their best in their day-to-day lives.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Beauty Services: Provide a range of beauty services, including facials, manicures, pedicures, massages, and basic hairdressing, ensuring each resident feels rejuvenated and confident. Services are flexible, depending on your expertise.
Catering to All: Offer beauty services to both women and men, accommodating the unique needs and preferences of each resident.
Salon Cleanliness: Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and efficiency in the salon area, creating a welcoming and hygienic environment for all.
Equipment Care: Use beauty equipment safely and effectively, performing regular maintenance to keep everything in top working order.
Policy Adherence: Have a strong understanding of care homes’ policies and procedures, ensuring your work aligns with the provided guidelines.
Confidentiality: Always maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding residents’ personal information.
Ongoing Training: Attend mandatory training sessions and any additional training organized by the Home Manager to keep your skills sharp and stay informed on best practices in health and safety.
Health & Safety: Be knowledgeable about relevant Health & Safety legislation, using PPE and other safety precautions as required to ensure a safe environment.
Chemical Knowledge: Understand the proper use of all beauty products and chemicals in the salon, using them in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions to ensure safety and effectiveness.
